Physics Labs: 3D Puzzle Project

This project served as a kinda refresher of how to use the Fusion360 software most of us hadn't touched since Intro to Engineering Design our freshman year. It also introduced us to the 3D printing software, and, y'know, how to use it.

02

This assignment was a twofer- one, use the 3D load software on Fusion360 to optimize a roof rack's strength-cost ratio, and two, make a business one-pager that shows off your findings in an aesthetically-pleasing manner.

03

The culminating project of our first semester. In order to be able to compete at  in NASA's Jet Propulsion Labs annual invention challenge, we had to make a Rube Goldberg-esque device that transferred three different types of energy across five meters, with the ending activity throwing a piece of paper into a wastebasket. This project, despite a lot of setbacks and team frustrations, was a ton of fun- it was awesome being able to actually go to the JPL campus. (Watch our invention here).
